Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Lost By 3 Wickets

Match report We travelled to Braughing looking to get another victory on the board in the HEBL. We won the toss and batted first and the score was on 17 before Amit hit the ball to square leg and was caught. We then had a bit of a collapse and some good bowling and poor decisions made us wobble to 90-6 at drinks and we were in danger of getting bowled out for under a 100. But some resistance from Samson (37), Stuart(18) and Matt(18) help us stagger to a score of 178 with some good rotation of strike and sensible batting.
With only a small total on the board to defend we went out knowing we had to take quick wickets and we did that as Rishabh and Ishfaq bowled nice and tightly. They were backed up by skipper Dobson who took 4 wickets in one of his best spells for the club. It was nip and tuck throughout the rest of the game as the rate climbed but missed chances and some sensible batting from Braughing got them over the line and sent us to our first defeat of the season.
