This week's Saturday game away to Stansted was a pleasure to be a part of. The lovely weather was matched by a brilliant all round team performance by a very strong Hallingbury team. Stew Goold Kicked off the batting with a strong but slightly unfortunate 49 which was followed up by an immense partnership of 131 from Joe Apperley and Paritosh. They both fell in the same over and finished on 73 and 58 respectively. They was supported by cameos from Amit K, Oli L and Luke W who all gave the ball a good thumping! We finished on a very strong total of 296 and this was thoroughly protected by our bowling and fielding performance that followed, keeping them below the run rate and taking wickets fairly consistently. Amazing catches from Stu Dobson diving to his right, Paritosh off his own bowling, and a Ben Stoked esc one handed catch in the slips from Vimal Soni. Thanks to Amit for coming back and keeping and Luke who spent the whole afternoon with the sun in his eyes on the boundary! A mention should also go to our resident greyhound, Samson B-C, who managed to cover a third of the pitch on his own and aided Paritosh in an amazing run out.
