Match report Yesterday's friendly against Chrishall was a very close call with our batting just getting over the line with 1 over spare. We started in the field where Will Goold continued his incredible bowling form with 3 maidens from his 7 overs. The wickets were spread out amongst us with Malcolm having a fabulous economy on a perfect wicket for him. We fielded well, with the long barrier coming in handy! Our batting was favourable, with a 50 from Captain Joe, solid scores from the Somanis, and Sam B-C hitting a fast 38 not out to secure the victory. I think it goes without saying that everyone's highlight from the day was Paul Ash's 14, which is most astonishing as I had taught him how to play the forward defence about 3 minutes before he went on. A massive cheer greeted each of his 3, yes 3, boundaries, well done Dad! A brilliant day out and a game thoroughly enjoyed by both teams on what is a unique surface to say the least.
