Match report Our Sunday friendly this week was against Little Hadham at Thorley's ground. It seemed like a bat first day, which is annoying as we were made to field first. We bowled fairly consistently but let some boundaries slip, and struggled to find the right length at times, on a very slow and easy to read pitch. This worked in their favour and they ended on a solid total of 222 from their 2.5 hours (37overs). Bowling highlights came from Joe Ash with a wicket maiden and Nico Davies bowling 2 wicket maidens, before going on to keep the second half of our bowling innings. Beth kept well in the first half and U13 colts, Jensen T and James H were consistent and both bowled well. Our batting was a tale on 2 partnerships, the first coming from the Somanis. They put on a solid and controlled 125 including 86 from Karim and a first LHCC half century from Nabeel. The second partnership, which would get us over the line was between Tom B-C and Skipper Joe who put on 49. Great to have another win under the Sunday team's belt and thanks to Little Hadham for the tea.
