Club Philosophy

Cricket has been played at Gaston Green since the turn of the century.  The objectives of Little Hallingbury Cricket Club are to encourage and promote the game of cricket as a recreational activity for the enjoyment of all residents of, and visitors to, the village.  As a club, we are dedicated to the concept of village cricket, actively promoting village membership and striving to play as many local villages as possible.  On Saturdays we play competitive fixtures in the Herts and Essex Border league, whilst on Sundays we play friendly fixture against local village sides.  Spectators are always welcome – tea is normally taken 2½ hrs after the official starting time, at which time refreshments will be available to visitors.

The club prepares all wickets and teas, hence the philosophy is to attract members rather than just players.  Furthermore, although the facilities are, first and foremost, for the use of the club members, they are available to other village organisations.  Anyone wishing to use the premises, please feel free to contact any committee member.
